#MayThe4thBeWithYou is not a traditional memoir. It is a lyrical, cinematic retelling of the day my wedding collapsed without warning, told in screenplay form dialogue, exhibits, voiceover, musical cues, and memory sequences drawn directly from my life.

The story begins twenty minutes before I arrived at my own venue, when a screenshot revealed that my wedding had been cancelled in a group text sent to everyone except me. From there, the book moves through the emotional fallout: the spiraling, the denial, the rehab, the past that resurfaced, and the slow, brutal process of choosing myself for the first time.

Across scenes, artifacts, and narrative fragments, you’ll step into my world as a queer, masculine-presenting Black woman, Army veteran, and former police officer navigating heartbreak, family wounds, identity, addiction, and survival.

The book does not soften what happened.
It does not rewrite the truth to make it easier.
It is raw, nonlinear, and intentionally crafted to feel like memory itself… fractured, emotional, and alive.

This is the story of how I survived.
This is the ending that became my beginning.
